Hello! My name is Jordan. I've lived in New York City, Philly, Miami, Paris, Bremen, and Nice, but right now I'm a part-time backend dev living in Berlin. My university studies are currently on hold, until I transfer to a uni here in Berlin (studying computer science, formerly at Jacobs University (now Constructor University) in Bremen, Germany).
I currently work as a backend developer on the Payments and Authorization team at Marley Spoon!
My career goals are kind of unknown at the moment. Currently I really enjoy (mostly the idea) of creating developer tooling but past that I have no idea what I'll do.
Like many developers, I have ideas for and start many projects (like this website). Hopefully writing about them will push me to actually finish some of the other ones.
See how I'm doing with that on the projects page, or read what's ruminating in my head or small code things on the posts page.
If you're someone looking to possibly hire me for an internship or job, (thank you!) here is my LinkedIn and my resume.
Lately I've been working with...
- Ruby (for work)
- Zig (My actual language of choice nowadays... programming in zig is simply joyful)
- Python (fun! But I haven't used it seriously in a little while, moreso for support in zig projects now)
- Rust (just a lil bit for fun! It's a cool language)
- C/C++ (haven't in a hot minute but I kinda know it)
- HTML/CSS (this whole thing)
I've also been learning some new frameworks/technologies...
- crickets... for now (although I want to look into zig's async whenever I can)
I've done some projects with these conecpts recently...
- Raytracing
- Raymarching
- Relearning Algoriths and Data Structures
And I've been reading...
- 50 Algorithms Every Programmer Should Know (Imran Ahmad)
- The Art of Computer Programming, Volume 1 (Donald E. Knuth)
- Solaris (Stanislaw Lem)
- 1Q84 (Haruki Murakami)
